Halloween, for many us, means fun! An excuse to light those grinning pumpkins and candles, dress up and party till the early hours. If Halloween is one of your favourite holidays and you want your guests to remember a fantastic party, then start planning now for your Halloween wedding! There are probably lots of ideas you and your partner can come up with on your own for this day, however, I have made a brief outline of some of them to help you on your way. VOWS: * For the ultimate gothic/ Halloween ceremony use 'Wiccan Handfasting'. INVITATIONS: * There are tons of templates on the web that you can download for free. * If you can spare the time and money, buy some small, fake spider webs, and then stick a small invitation to the corner. Post these out in a large envelope. I can assure you that these invitations will not be forgotten! WEDDING FAVOURS: * For centre pieces use Hollowed-out, decorated pumpkins, Scarecrows and Orange roses. * Fill small sacks with Halloween candy. * Halloween cookies in the shapes of stars, ghosts, witches and pumpkins. * Cauldrons filled with candy. * Small Halloween embedded soaps * Miniature pumpkins with guests' names written in gold paint. ENTERTAINMENT: * Hire a Clairvoyant to give out short readings to your guests. * Hire a band or DJ that will play things like "Ghostbusters", "I put a spell on you" and "monster mash", as well as being dressed for the occasion of course! DECORATIONS: * Have plenty of witches' brooms and wizards' wands laid about. * Use plenty of black, orange and yellow to decorate the tables and doorways. * Fix black lights above doors, in the corners of the room and above the bar area. * Place a large cauldron in one corner of the room and fill it with dry ice. * You can buy tons of different props and free standing figures from various websites. You can go as far as you like, so long as you don't run out of space to put them all. THE CAKE: * You can be very creative here with the cake toppers, for example below is a link to an American company who have made the "corpse bride" cake topper - http://www.apictureperfectwedding.com/ppw680.htm * The actual cake could be decorated with the various Halloween colours and characters. FLOWERS: * Orange, black and yellow roses. * For Bouquets carry blood red or black roses. These are just a few of the many ways in which you can make the perfect Halloween Wedding. Between the two of you, I'm sure you will find ways in which to add your own personal touches.
