Your wedding hair and beauty needs to be perfect on one of the most important days of your life, so don't leave anything to chance. If you have a budget for someone to do your hair and make up on your wedding day then it will take a lot of pressure off you, leaving you to relax and enjoy getting ready for your special day, otherwise you could ask a friend or relative to help you. Wedding Hair If you can, its a good idea to have at least two wedding hair trials giving you a choice of different styles, using your tiara, flowers or combs. Take photos of each trial to see which ones look best and to help you remember them as the trials take place months before the event. Book your hairdresser at least six months or more in advance to give you enough time for trials, hair colouring and cutting. Hair pieces can easily be added if your hair needs more volume for a particular style, so don't worry if you haven't grown it long. Take along photo cuttings of your favourite styles from magazines to give your hairdresser an idea of what you like. During the trials time how long it takes, so you can schedule the exact amount of time needed, so it won't be rushed on the day or you're finished too early which means it won't be as fresh - remember its got to stay in all day and night long. On the day, wear something that is button through so it doesnt ruin your style by going over your head. Its really important to match your hairstyle with your dress and veil, so make sure you have a photo of your wedding dress to show your hairdresser so you can work together in deciding the best style. Also think about how your getting to the church? If you're in an open top car you will need a hair style that is going to last and stay secure all day. Don't drastically change your hair colour or dye your hair at home a couple of months before your wedding day, you don't want any major changes that you may regret later. If you have a number of bridesmaids and possibly the mother of the bride who would all like their hair done you may need to consider keeping their styles very simple as your hairdresser won't have a lot of time left after perfecting your style and obviously you want yours to be perfect. Otherwise you may need to hire another hairdresser for the others. Wedding Beauty Here are some beauty secrets to help create a beautiful you on your wedding day. Rehearse, rehearse and rehearse your make-up until you know for sure what you are happy with. This could be with a professional make-up artist, or just taking a friend along with you to a cosmetic counter to speak to a specialist who can give you a mini make over and offer plenty of advice to help you or your friend to perfect the right look. Schedule a regular skincare routine every day and week that you can manage and stick to it. Remember to take your entire make up off properly every evening to give your skin a chance to breathe and exfoliate once a week to get rid of dead skin cells. Decide how you want your nails to look by trying different styles and shades a few weeks before. Your nails will show up in photographs so don't forget them, its well worth having acrylic nails if your nails easily break or your bite them! Use rubber gloves for household chores and washing up to protect your hands and nails and use a hand moisturiser every day. Speak to your dentist in advance about your teeth and get any problems sorted out. If you would like them to be whitened most dentists can offer this service, however there are some types of teeth it can't be used with ie. crowns or veneers. Start a healthy eating plan, kick starting with some vitamin and mineral supplements to boost your immune system. Eat your five portions of fresh fruit and vegetables a day and cut out 'bad foods'. If you don't already have an exercise routine, start with some gentle exercising with some brisk walking 30 minutes three times a week. If you already are a gym member, get those arms toned with some upper body work outs. If you are having a tanning treatment, invest and research into a good one. Spray tanning is a good option however you will need this done two days before the day for the best colour, otherwise you may look too dark and against a pale background as it will be enhanced even more!
